Learn, exchange, grow, and serve. The U.S. Department of State offers many programs for non-U.S. citizens wishing to come to the U.S. for cultural, educational, or professional exchange. These programs are augmented by local opportunities in countries around that world that allow non-U.S. citizens to explore U.S. culture and the English language.
The United States supports international education and welcomes foreign students and exchange visitors. Before applying for a visa, students and exchange visitors must be accepted by their schools or program sponsors.
American English is a resource center for teaching and learning about American English language and culture.
The U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Embassy in Croatia administer a variety of exchange programs to the United States at the high school, academic (pre-doctoral and post-doctoral), and professional levels. Learn more about U.S. exchange programs available here.
The U.S. Embassy has limited funding to support projects and programs that strengthen ties between the United States and Croatia.
The U.S. Embassy in Zagreb works closely with the past and current participants of U.S. Government-funded educational and professional exchange programs (such as Fulbright, Hubert Humphrey, IVLP, Ron Brown, Benjamin Franklin, World Chicago etc.).
