The Information Resource Center (IRC) provides current, comprehensive information about the United States. This includes U.S. Government policies and laws, and information about U.S. society, culture, and economic and political processes. Resources available at the Information Resource Center include on-line database searching, CD-ROM programs, ProQuest periodical system, and standard reference materials in printed format.
The Information Resource Center staff has access to a large volume of information, much of it in electronic format, to meet the needs of serious researchers in subjects such as international relations, economics, state and federal legislation and regulations, environmental issues, telecommunications, etc.
The Information Resource Center provides information and reference services by telephone, fax, and e-mail, and is open by appointment for specialists with more extensive research projects. The IRC is located at the U.S. Embassy.
